The Best Açaí in Toowoomba

Toowoomba’s açaí scene is still finding its feet. The purple bowl trend that swept coastal Queensland has been slower to land up on the Range — but there’s at least one spot doing it properly, and doing it well.

If you know of another place worth adding to this list, we’d love to hear about it. For now, there’s really only one name worth knowing.

1 — Açaí Bros Toowoomba

Northpoint Shopping Centre, Shop 13

Look, Northpoint Shopping Centre isn’t exactly the most glamorous destination in town — but don’t let that put you off. Açaí Bros is genuinely worth the trip, and once you’re inside with a bowl in hand you’ll stop caring about the surroundings pretty quickly.

Part of the national Açaí Bros franchise, this Toowoomba outpost punches well above the expectations you might have for a shopping centre food outlet. The fit-out is clean, there are a few seats inside, and staff consistently get good marks for being genuinely friendly rather than just going through the motions.

The menu follows the Açaí Bros formula: bowls and smoothies built around that thick, dark Brazilian berry base, loaded up with granola, banana, honey, and whatever toppings you choose. Nothing revolutionary — but executed consistently, which counts for a lot.

Whether you’re ordering solo at the kiosk or walking in with a list for ten, they handle it with good energy and zero fuss. The kind of place that makes you wish there were more spots like it in town.

Hours: Mon–Wed, Sat–Sun 7am–8pm · Thu 7am–9pm · Fri 7am–5pm
Phone: 0439 393 193
Order: At the counter or via the in-store kiosk.

While you’re at it

If you’re making a proper morning of it, pair your açaí run with a stop at The Baker’s Duck for coffee and pastries. It’s a great combo — something sweet and flaky to go alongside your bowl, and well worth building into the same outing.
